Experience the warm hospitality, history and culture of Bali at this enchanting 2-bedroom villa. Secreted away in a walled garden planted with tropical fruit trees and featuring a generous, 20-metre swimming pool, Villa Belong Dua offers guests the luxuries of space, comfort and privacy. The charming bedroom pavilions and open-sided living spaces showcase prints of rural life, ancient maps and enchanting portraits. Facilities include WiFi, LCD TVs, DVD players and iPod with docking stations, and the team of experienced staff, includes a skilled chef. The villa is set in the traditional seaside village of Seseh, just 300 metres from the beach.
The fishing village of Seseh grew in importance in 18th century Bali when it became home to the major temple of the former Kingdom of Mengwi. At that time it was also a small trading port, inhabited by a number of families of Chinese decent.
The village still retains the customs and culture of old Bali. Here, you will see the rice being planted and harvested in the fields, fishing boats returning with the night’s catch, as well as frequent, colourful processions to the large beachside temple.
Today, Seseh is an ideal destination for those who want to get lost in the beauty of the countryside and engage with the local people to gain privileged insights into the Balinese Hindu lifestyle: the people of Seseh encourage and welcome congenial visitors.
There are no international restaurants here, but the villa is only 30 minutes’ drive (15km) from the many restaurants and shops of cosmopolitan Seminyak. The renowned surfers’ haunt of Echo Beach is also within easy reach (8.5km by road or just a pleasant 1.5km walk along the beach), where guests can enjoy the laidback vibe, an ice-cold beer or seafood barbecue at The Beach House, and some incredible sunsets.
1. The soul....a feeling to be in the real bali, where the "over"life is behind you
2. Superb villa in a large garden. 2 units for bedrooms, 1 unit for the kitchen and dining room and 1 for the bale. Never lost: you feel to be directly at the right place: large enough to breath and intimist enough. The design is strictly traditional Balinese
3. Extremely perfect service
4. Location...it depends what you are looking for. You are in a small village in the middle of the rice fields. Biking is exceptional. Far away from the vibrant semyniak. Quiet, nice, in the middle of local life a dream for me AND FOR YOU? . . ...with the traffic jam 1 hour by car to go in semyniak. Echo beach is not too far by walk. To leave the villa you need organize your transport ...
5. The beach 5 min walk and exceptional sunsets
But for me all was idyllic
What a place!!. In short - amazing! Ayra and his team will bend over backwards to make sure you have everything you need. The Villa is amazing, the outdoor shower is brilliant and the swimming pool is lovely. The villa is in a very quiet area and is in a brilliant position to either just relax or to use as a base and to go off exploring.
You will not be disappointed.
We only stayed four nights at Villa Belong Dua and wished we could extend our stay for much longer. My wife and I have traveled to Bali quite a few times and this villa and its staff are clearly the best we have ever encountered.
The villa itself is set in a nice and quite Gong. The architecture is refined and done with great traditional Balinese taste. Everything about this villa is an invitation to peace and tranquility.
Sainna (not sure this is spelled correctly), the villa manager, is very discrete and helpful in making your stay as enjoyable as possible. Francis, the chef, is very friendly and very skilled at preparing all sorts of meals from traditional indonesian food to more European style cuisine. We strongly recommend you try out the Fisk BBQ!!!
All in all we had a great stay and bring with us some great memories. We will try our best to come back soon.

A fantastic 2 bedroom Villa for those who want to get out of the hustle and bustle and enjoy the pleasures of staying within a traditional fishing/farming village, waking to the sounds of chickens and pigs, swim in the lovely pool, stroll around the village, walk along the black sand of the beach enjoy and ride through the rice paddies to nearby villages. Laze by the pool and take in the traditional influenced architecture of the Villa and the wonderful staff including the manager and chef. This was our second visit and one week just isn't enough, a truly wonderful Villa to unwind and relax.
The staff were fantastic, especially the Manager, the villa was beautiful, but it was a little bit noisy.
In the very rare event of the airport being closed when you are due to arrive, we will endeavour to reschedule your villa booking to a mutually beneficial time
