The recently refurbished Sahaja Deluxe, is a spacious two-bedroom detached villa featuring double king size en-suite bedroom with elegant bathtubs, fully equipped kitchen in a large open plan living, dining area. The highlight of this villa is the private 10m2 pool and garden terrace with luxury gazebo, boasting unforgettable views, making this home perfect for romantic couples & traveling families looking for a large space for both relaxing and entertaining.
Escape the hustle and bustle of the busy tourist spots and enjoy a slower pace in the rural village of Tegalmengkeb, nestled in the region of Tabanan which features Bali’s best untouched natural beauty. Take a ride through the village and be sure to be greeted with warm smiles and children waving as you pass by. Venture further by foot (30 mins), bicycle (15 mins), or scooter (10 mins) to the secluded local palm tree lined black sand beach, where you can soak up the sun in peace.
Highly recommend this resort. It's setting is so beautiful & quiet, we loved it! You can use the scooters (complimentary) whenever you like, so you can get around as much as you like or simply enjoy the villas and/or resort for a rejuvenating peaceful holiday. The 2 bedroom villa was amazing & we had a BBQ cooked in our villa - sensational seafood!
My husband and I have just returned from an excellent one month stay in Bali from mid-June to mid-July at the Sahaja Sawah and we can’t say enough good things about it. It was exactly what we were looking for and the pictures on the website are a true representation of what you will find.
The resort is located in the countryside near Tabanan away from the large tourist city madness of Denpasar, Kuta, Seminyak and Ubud. This is what they call the real Bali with smaller villages, lots of rice paddies and vegetable fields and the ocean nearby.
We stayed in Indah 2 which overlooks the forest and the river and is very quiet with amazing butterflies. It was an air conditioned 2 bedroom villa with a functional kitchen, living/dining areas, 2 huge bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and a private plunge pool which we loved.
Sleep quality - bed was soft and comfortable.
Cleanliness - generally clean, but because of proximity to nature and being on a Tropical Island be prepared to see many ants and gecko all over.
The staff were fantastic and always smiling, they could not do enough for you. They were always prepared to help and if you asked for something, it was delivered right away.
I would like to send special thanks to all of the staff for their kindness and gracious assistance throughout our stay.
Bernard, Owner – for his gracious hospitality
Ariani, Resort Manager – for quick responses and kind assistance throughout full booking process
Tia, Reception Manager – for her lovely smile and assistance in booking day trips, coordinating massage appointments, helping get scooters, showing us the way to Ubalinda’s place to visit and see the monkeys, generally going above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed
Uni & Putu, Masseuse – for their magic fingers and hands and an awesome massage every time
Dek Pur & 2nd Cook – for all the wonderful meals prepared for us and especially the Balinese spring rolls, the mee goreng and the nasi goring, delicious
Ayu, food server – with quick service and a beautiful sunny smile
Wayan, Adi & Gede – for your efficient driving to and from airport and day trips.
Thank you Wayan for sharing your knowledge on the Bali way of life with us during our day trips and making special arrangements with a village man to guide us to the hidden waterfall of Blahmantung, it was worth the trek. We truly enjoyed having you as our guide.
Housekeeping Staff – I’m afraid I can’t remember all the names but thank you for your help in keeping our villa clean
Grounds/Maintenance – thank you for your hard work in keeping the grounds and flowers looking neat and clean and very lush and beautiful
*If I’ve forgotten to name someone my apologies and thank you to you too :)
The staff worked very hard to make us feel welcomed and our stay enjoyable.
So if you are looking for a peaceful relaxing holiday in a quiet remote setting at a great resort with good food, excellent service and the nicest staff ever, then look no further, you will not be disappointed.
Thank you to all at Sahaja Sawaha for a lovely trip to remember, may we be blessed with a return visit sometime in the future.
We have stayed for 7 weeks at Sahaja and had a wonderful time, the place is far from the noice of the big city.... you just hear the sounds of nature.
The villa's are very nice with everything you need, if there is something that you need just tell the staff and a few minutes later you have it.
The staff are really amazing and make you feel welcome.
We highly recommend this place
Thank you Ariani and Sahaja family
The resort is so relaxing. We had our own villa with beautiful ocean view and private pool. The staff is so nice and welcoming. The resort is quite far from civilization, that's what made is so relaxing. The only thing we missed a little bit, was being able to try some local restaurants. But they also got great food at the resort.
We spent 17 nights in Bali including 7 at the Sahaja. From the moment we arrived, staff were so friendly. Our two bedroom villa with a pool was huge and just incredible! So much room and so gorgeous. Every day we ate in the resort rooftop restaurant, the lady who took our order most days was so friendly and loved our kids. Food was good and we tried most things on the menu. The massages in our villa were amazing, best we had in Bali. The owner / manager of many of the villas Bernard is a lovely Dutch man who went out of his way to help us. When my wife was unsure about driving one of the motor scooters that you can borrow at the resort, Bernard and one of his staff hopped on board their scooters and we all went down to the local beach, about twelve minutes ride away. With encouragement, my wife then learned how to drive the scooter and we had a few good trips around the local countryside, including one where a member of staff spoke to some locals and we went into the rice field with them to plant rice. There isn't much to do around the local area, but the villages and very pretty and the locals are friendly. You can hire a driver for a half or full day. Within 30-60 minutes of the resort there are temples, towns and other attractions.
We were well rewarded from the long journey we had from the UK to Bali when we turned up at Sahaja Sawah. The villa was amazing, the staff welcome you as one of the family and the surroundings had us speechless. The customer service is outstanding, the food whether western or eastern is unforgettable, the activities/excursions organised by the hotel are superb. Cannot recommend this resort enough, we are already planning our next stay.
We stayed for a month at the Sahaja Sawah, we could of stayed much longer.
If you're travelling to Bali with a family this is the ONLY place you need to go.
Leave Kuta, Canguu and the rest behind, come here. It's safe, with a real incentive on families. There is a children's play area, a children's pool, games and activities and also they offer a baby sitting service (paid).
We stayed In a villa, it was so nice.
The wifi has been fixed, (they had problems before) now it was running at a great 10mb rate, so I could get my work done.
If you're a digital nomad, this place is ideal.
I couldn't rate the Sahaja Sawah highly enough.
The drivers - Wayan, Gedu and Ktut
(I know I've spelt all your names wrong, I apologise)
Everyone there is a joy to be around.
Thanks so much
Staying in Sahaja Sawah is the best travel experience we have ever had. Here you leran how to smile again - non-stop:).
Starting with the excellent communications with Ariani who answered all our questions to feeling like staying at the middle of a postcard, because its just so picturesque and authentic!
The apartement is located in a NON-profit resort (could you belive that one exists!!?) - when we heard about this, we were absolutely blown away because all the money they make, goes straight into supproting local people to educate their kids and support the families.
The hosts are so hospitable and thoughtful that there is no way to rate the stay less than 5 stars.
Our favourite moments include late nigh chats with everybody at the reception lounge, looking at stars while swimming in the pool at night and observing how real balinese live their unobstructed day-by-day lives.
It is a perfect venue for a super relaxing family vacation. Kids can run arond the property, meeting and playing with other international kids. While we where there, Bernard, the owner of our unit, built a baby playground right next to a lounge area - what a perfect setup!
This is a truly a hidden gem at the middle of rice fields with an amazing ocean view from the balcony. I wish I could take the view with me and have it forever.
There are so many qualities to list, that I could go on and on: pool and play toys, super safe surroundings, daily cleaning, list of authentic Balinese experiences to book a fun activity with kids.I personally loved HGTV and English news channels :D - you dont get this in many Airbnb houses.
The family vacation could not be any better with altering pool days with pottery, temple visits, Tanah Lot (only 40 minutes from there!) and shopping in the markets.
They do amazing Christmas and New Years parties that blowed our minds!
After visiting Sahaja Sawah, we can truly say we have been visiting the real, authentic Bali while staying in super comfortable housing and people who are now our lifelong friends! Miss you all very dearly!
My sister and I have been here for a month and have fallen in love with the staff and the property. This is a wonderful resort. Sahaja prides itself on creating a quality environment for its guests. Bernard the owner lives on the property and is constantly making improvements and looking after the well being of all the guests. We will be living in Bali for a year and have decided to remain at Sahaja for a long term stay. We love:
-The cook service. The chefs cook great meals and you have the option of adding on the cook service with a customized menu that you select. They will cook lunch and dinner for you and bring it to your room.
-Family oriented: There are many families here. Sahaja has recently created a play space for young children. There is a large pool and small pool for kids. Even adults and singles create connections and friendships here. Sahaja is a community all within itself.
-The authentic Balinese experience. We could have chosen to stay in a more convenient location like Seminyak or Ubud, but have chose Sahaja because it’s authentic and our stay here is contributing to the local village. The owner hires a lot of the staff from the village next to the resort and does a lot for the community as well.
-Efficiency. If you need something done, just ask and Sahaja’s staff will take care of it.
-Amenities. We are American and wanted a comfortable living space. Our townhouse is comparable to a high-end apartment in the states for a fraction of the price. We have a 3 bedroom 2 1/2 bath condo. One of the bathrooms has a plunge tub (lovely). We also have amazing views of the rice paddies and water in the distance from our front porch as well as the balcony.
-They have bikes to use for you to explore the area or take to the beach as well as motorcycles for a quick trip into town.
--There is a small village just up the road with a lot of friendly people to see and experience part of the real Balinese culture.
--On Sunday there is a free yoga class and movie night for kids and adults.
Many people enjoy it here so much that they return. We were lucky to have found this place and hope that you’ll come and join the Sahaja family with us!
In the very rare event of the airport being closed when you are due to arrive, we will endeavour to reschedule your villa booking to a mutually beneficial time.
