Hidden down a secluded lane in the heart of bustling Seminyak, lies the elegant Villa Shambala. This enviable location is within walking distance of many of Bali’s top restaurants, boutiques and art galleries, and just 300 metres from the sweeping Oberoi beach, famous for its world-class surf breaks and legendary sunsets.
The villa’s location comes with no sacrifice to privacy. Once over the threshold you are
immediately transported to a tropical garden paradise; a world of relaxation and indulgence.
With five bedrooms and a 19-metre pool, fully staffed Villa Shambala seamlessly integrates
the contemporary and the traditional to give a true luxury Balinese experience.
Villa Shambala is in one of the most sought-after locations in Bali, offering you a complete hidden paradise in Seminyak’s ‘Golden Triangle’.
The villa is just minutes from Seminyak’s main street, Jalan Kayu Aya (also called Jalan Laksmana, Oberoi or ‘Eat Street’), where an impressive array of dining and entertainment options abound. Trendy boutiques, supermarkets and ATMs are all within a short walk of the villa, as are some of the island’s best known entertainment and dining venues, including Ku De Ta, W Hotel, La Lucciola, Potatohead beach club and other glamorous Seminyak staples.
Villa Shambala is also just 500 metres from the beach, where you can enjoy a variety of water sports, long seaside walks and beautiful Bali sunsets.
My first impression of Shambala was Wow. We arranged friends and family to come to Shambala for my 60th birthday. The staff made our time here very special and catered to our every need no matter how small. On the special day we had a special dinner in the villa that we prepared by world renown chef Ryan Clift based on the menu from Grow, his local restaurant, featuring all local produce. It was a one of the best meals I ever had and was supported by the staff's attention to detail on that night. In fact the whole week will be one I never forget.
The tropical grounds were a haven from the real world. I wish I could stay for another month. Thank you to Ministry of Villas and the staff at Shambala for making my 60th birthday so special.
Perfectly situated in the heart of Seminyak, the more stylish part of Bali, Villa Shambala was perfect for travelling as a family of 6 for two weeks with 3 teenagers who had their own bedrooms and bathrooms up one end of the 19m pool and a littly up the other in the main house who felt like a true princess in the garden suite. All staff were welcoming, friendly and attentive without crowding our space. You really don’t know they are there until they suddenly appear offering a fresh towel or a cold drink. Menu selections were varied and delicious. The convenience of booking massages in the poolside spa room (although more expensive than the $6 ones down the street that our sons went to) were well worth it and having a private yoga instructor attend each morning were the icing on the cake. Villa Shambala is a stunning oasis that we truly enjoyed hanging out in, and returning home to after a day of shopping or dining which we would highly recommend to others who expect only the best and most luxurious of accommodation and service.
My family celebrated Christmas (and my birthday) at the villa and the amazing staff went above & beyond to ensure we had a wonderful stay.
The chef, Katut, created delicious feasts for us - no request too difficult. Normally restaurant people, we opted to stay at home more often than not. We had some vegan guests well catered to.
Our butlers, Abu & Dewa, were fabulous, ensuring we organised, anticipated our needs and always ensuring drinks in hand. Decorated my bedroom for my birthday as a surprise with a fresh flower mural.
We went to a larger modern villa for 2nd part of holiday to accommodate more guests (Villa Anam) and were sorely disappointed in comparison.
Villa is older style, but it meant the gardens were more luscious and ebstablished. Gorgeous pool, private & quiet location - less than 10 min walk to heart of Seminyak if you didn't use supplied scooters (another bonus).
Shower pressure (for the master bed at least) was non-existent.
Highly recommend due to the incredible staff.
Stayed here in December for a week with my family to celebrate my mum's 60th. Have got to say, this place exceeded expectations! Staff are fun, very friendly and accomodating; always bringing us drinks as we floated around in the massive pool. They even make cocktails by request if you have the alcohol required. Butler, Jack makes a fantastic espresso martini. The rooms were clean and well presented. We had dinner at the villa a few nights and the food was fantastic! Our chef, Katut did a delicious BBQ for us one night and the staff decorated the villa with traditional decorations. We were also treated to our own cooking class which was absolutely delicious. I also have to note that butler, Ayu is a champion! Always ensuring we were comfortable and catering to all requests - taxis, drinks, dinner reservations, ironing - you name it! Would definitely recommend this place. You won't be disappointed and you won't want to leave the villa!
The villa is tastefully decorated, with personalized surprises wherever you eye rests. The relaxing furniture, beautifully manicured garden, made for a relaxing stay away from the hustle and bustle of the Seminyak lanes. The friendly and professional staff always ready to serve. We never ate out as the kitchen chef and his staff made us amazing menus every day. Only negatives were the beach although within walking distance is unclean to swim in, and the area around the villa is very busy and contested.
In the very rare event of the airport being closed when you are due to arrive, we will endeavour to reschedule your villa booking to a mutually beneficial time
