Seminyak is Bali’s go-to destination. With world-class beaches, clubs, restaurants, and boutiques, it is a stylish area home to some of Bali’s most exotic villas. Seminyak is often the destination of choice to those visiting the island and the dress code matches the region’s ambience. Although not strictly enforced in all areas, consider wearing something expensive. Alternatively, go with an outfit which makes you stand out from the crowd.
After all, when you have the perfect opportunity to dress up, you might as well take advantage of it.
Food lovers will be spoilt for choice in Seminyak. Jalan Oberoi, commonly known as ‘Eat Street’ is a road through the centre packed full of great restaurants and bars - many possessing world-class chefs who can cook whatever you desire.
We’d especially recommend checking out the ‘Watercress Restaurant’. It’s a great hidden local gem with some quality dishes. Otherwise, you could try the ‘Red Carpet Champagne Bar’ or ‘Metis Restaurant’.
Regardless of what you choose, nothing quite beats hanging out on Seminyak’s famous western-facing beach as the sun sets.
Finally, as you’d expect with such a popular area, most of the local Indonesians can speak basic to good English - always a positive when navigating the area.
