Much better than it looks on the web site and hard to find words to describe this place as it has to be seen to be believed. Gardens truly beautiful with little private places. The Decor is fantastic and you keep coming across things at every turn. We stayed for a week with friends and family including two children for our 50th Wedding Anniversary Staff were very friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough for you, food was good and nothing was to much trouble, they excelled. Its very private and you have your own little oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the world outside.
We spent a week during the New Year holidays. Absolutely gorgeous property that provides so many relaxing options.. Pools, walks, billiards room, dinner in the beautiful main room or in one of the dining bales. The many bedrooms with their en-suite baths (and the massage areas) are very comfortable and spacious. The staff is amazing, in terms of their attention to detail and Balinese warmth. Anything you need..or anywhere you'd like to go, the team will make it happen. The historical sites are nearby, but you'll never want to leave.
The thing that has stayed with me from our stay at Uma Wana Prasta is the sheer luxury of the extended gardens and grounds, and how seamlessly they blend with the style and comfort of the extensive lounge, dining and sleeping areas. Unusually large for a Balinese villa, the grounds are lush, both manicured and wild at the same time, and conceal any number of beautiful spots to relax. Despite the temptation to explore, we really did not ever want to leave the peace of this oasis. Each bedroom is wonderfully private and very comfortable. Walking into the main grand scale room of the communal space is like walking into an amphitheatre - the stage from which all else happens. With Nyoman at the bar, quietly and smilingly taking care of all needs, this was simply a haven for us to all take some precious time together.
I have stayed at Uma Wanna Prasta a couple of times and have my next stay booked. It's one of those places - once you visit, you will definitely come back! I loved the house, with it's beautiful bedrooms, open air showers (always a treat when staying in hot climates) and wonderful living areas. There's both casual and formal dining areas, casual seating overlooking the pool and a wonderful bar. I managed to convince my friends to stay at the house over New Year's Eve rather than heading into the madness of Seminyak and we had a wonderful time, with divine food and entertainment by a local pianist (on the grand piano), found by the house's very committed and attentive staff. All I can say is go there and experience it for yourself...
We have visited UWP many times and chose it to celebrate my husband's 60th over 2 weeks. 14 guests week 1 and 10 guests week 2 - aged 25 to 60. Delicious food, wine and cocktails. We indulged in daily massages, manicures/pedicures, facials and yoga (with wonderful Yogi) and held hysterical games of volley-ball and badminton on the huge grass court, perfectly set out by the staff. Entertainment on several evenings included beautiful local Balinese dancers with band, brilliant magician, karaoke - hired machine with thousands of songs & video with large screen, pianist with great female singer....ALL IN-HOUSE! We left the Villa only twice in 2 weeks. Enormous lush, tropical grounds provide multiple areas to dine, play or relax in total privacy. The staff are gentle and happy to attend to your every desire. As regular visitors to Bali, over many years, I have never seen a Villa which compares to UWP. We had an incredible holiday and I cannot recommend it highly enough. Thank you Uma Wana Prasta, we will see you again, very soon.
In the very rare event of the airport being closed when you are due to arrive, we will endeavour to reschedule your villa booking to a mutually beneficial time
