Hippest Location

Villa Kakatua offers a blissful retreat away from the madding crowds, just metres from Canggu Beach on Bali's south-west coast. Hidden behind private walls in lush tropical gardens, this four- bedroom villa neighbours Villa Kedidi (three bedrooms), to provide an individual or combined option for families and groups. Child friendly with warm and attentive staff, guests can easily relax and unwind in this beautiful Balinese home away from home. It is the perfect place to laze by the pool, take a stroll through the rice fields or catch a wave at one of Canggu's popular surf breaks.

Location

Villa Kakatua lies at the beach end of Canggu’s thriving Jalan Pantai Batu Bolong, a country lane that has experienced an amazing transformation over the last few years and is now home to some of Bali’s hippest haunts. You’ll find a number of excellent cafés, bars and restaurants within a few minutes’ walk of Villa Kakatua. Among them are the chill-out beach bars, Old Mans and The Lawn, popular vegetarian venues Betelnut Café, Milk & Madu and Crate, and the ever-elegant Hotel Tugu. Batu Bolong Beach, just 100 metres from the villa, is renowned for its world-class surf breaks and rugged beauty; it’s the ideal location to catch a wave, take a stroll along the sands to nearby Echo Beach or capture the sun setting over an ornately carved sea temple.

Everything was perfect

Villa Kakatua is lovely. We had a family holiday in this residence and all 8 of us adults loved it. Excellent value for money.

Property: The grounds are extremely well kept, and you feel quite tucked away from the busy street, even though you are really close to everything. The style is very Balinese but in a modern way. The pool area is perfect for everyone to laze around in and around, and even though there were 7 of us staying there, it never felt like we were in each other’s space. The rooms are split apart so that 2 are on one of the property, with the other 2 on the other side.

Staff: The staff were so attentive! From buying us cocktail ingredients and then making them, to preparing us a fruit platter in the afternoon; we never went without. They drove us around, helped us buy SIM cards (very helpful with a local!), took us to the Monkey Forrest in Ubud, ordered massages and scooters for us at the Villa & on the last night cooked us all a lovely Seafood BBQ complete with Balinese decorations. I definitely recommend ordering the Seafood BBQ during your stay!

Location: This Villa is about 1-200m from Old Man’s so is very close. It’s also within walking distance to amazing food (Crate, Shady Shack, Raw, Deus), great boutiques, and Spring Spa (facials, nails, massage). The Villa is tucked down a walkway and off the road so it’s very quiet and private.

Rooms: Nicely styled in simple Balinese décor. Each had an ensuite (one room had a bath). The outdoor shower in the bottom rooms are the best! The beds are king and firm but comfy, and all come with mozzie nets and air con. Water bottles are provided daily. The staff make up the beds every morning and even do a turn down service at night. So nice to go to bed to.
There were 3 rooms with king beds and the 4th room had 2 king beds pushed together. So great for 4 kids or 2 adults wanting separate beds.
We loved staying here and highly recommend staying here.

A little bit of paradise

We stayed here, a group of four female friends in May for five nights.
The location was perfect, near the shops (most, surfer boutiques and little coffee shops), near bars and near the beach.
The villa was really luxurious, I cant fault it and the same goes for the wonderful staff.
We were looked after and made to feel very special, nothing was too much trouble, the food was fabulous and my only wish is that we'd stayed longer.

Amazing Villa in Canguu

This villa was wonderful, in a great location only 200m from the beach. It was extremely clean and tidy with an amazing pool area. Staff were also wonderful. Only downfall was the loud noisy doors to the bathroom. Would definitely recommend this villa.

The ideal location for a brilliant bali holiday.

We have just enjoyed a perfectly relaxing holiday at Villa Kakatua. From the minute we arrived at the airport, the service was exceptional. We were so well looked after, all 9 of us (4 adults and 5 young kids, including a baby). The villa was beautiful and so well maintained, a great size for our party too - there were days we didn't even leave the sanctuary of the villa it was so lovely (that could also be because of Novi's delicious cooking - especially the more traditional fair, so yum).
We really loved the location too - is a less built up part of Canggu, so close to the beach and Old Mans yet also just down the road from great coffees and cafes.
A great time and a beautiful villa with the loveliest peoples - we'll definitely return!

Great service and nearly perfect villa

Villa Kakatua was the perfect size for 4 adults and two small kids. The staff was amazing, catering to both adult and toddler meals without any trouble. Highchairs, pool fence, and a big box of toys was also provided. The staff and villa really seemed to pride themselves on interactions with kids.

The Canggu area can be quite busy with traffic a lot of the time. It took us around an hour each way from the airport, which can just get annoying. It's no fault of the villa of course.

It's a short walk down the road to Old Man's bar on the beach, and a nice surfing beach. The beach is not appropriate for young kids or even recreational swimming.

Lastly, there was some pretty severe construction next door at the time (May 2015) you may want to check with the management company to ensure this will not intrude on your stay.

I can't say enough about Elite Havens, they really know how to take care of their guests, were very accommodating and helpful planning activities to take us away from the construction.

I would stay here again for the venue and staff, especially once the construction is complete.

Relaxing Stay

We spent a week here and had a really relaxing time. Our family had lots of space and everyone had their own room. The staff were brilliant and the cooks did a great job with our meals. We mostly ate breakfast and lunch at the villa and ate out for dinner. It was really good to have a car and driver as the villa is a long way from anywhere. I would recommend the villa though as it has everything you need including a really nice pool.
