A gentle river and lush rice fields flank the stunning, fully staffed, four-bedroom Villa Hansa in the peaceful village of Pererenan, south-west Bali. A series of spectacular architectural buildings, including two antique Javanese Joglo houses, have been adapted with contemporary glass and filled with every comfort under an exquisite and rare trapezium roof. Two traditional wooden gladak houses with timber shuttered windows and raised verandas make wickedly fabulous bedrooms. Two swimming pools at opposite ends of the sweeping compound plus multiple private zones create a breathtaking retreat for both families and friend groups all a whisper away from Seminyak.
Villa Hansa is situated alongside a gentle river bordered by beautiful rice terraces in rural Pererenan. The immediate vicinity offers a smattering of hip cafes as well as traditional local haunts, and the many new and exciting dining and shopping establishments of Canggu’s Jalan Batu Bolong area are only a couple of kilometres away.
A short stroll from the villa brings you to the glittering black sands of Pererenan beach, and it’s famous surf breaks. Visitors to this area will meet locals and be blessed with an insight into the extraordinary religious lifestyle of the Balinese. Echo Beach with its casual dining scene and cool surfside restaurants is just a short walk along the sand.
Just ten kilometres away is the famed Tanah Lot sea temple and the award-winning Greg Norman-designed Nirwana Bali Golf Course.
The fabulous international dining choices and irresistible shops of Seminyak are just 12 kilometres away.
It took an hour to get into the villa from the airport on a Friday. We had cleared customs just before noon. Made, the villa chauffeur, was waiting for us. The traffic was bad, but that would be our only complaint for this trip!
We enjoyed our stay at the villa tremendously. We are a family of 9, including 3 children, here for grandad's birthday. The early party had arrived on Tuesday and had left us two remaining rooms to choose from.
We took the upper floor room with a balcony facing the paid fields. Grandparents and the older kids took the rooms facing the pool. Parents with their youngest kid stayed in the family suite at the far end of the property.
The spacious and beautifully maintained grounds and living areas provided lots of room for everyone. There was hardly any need to leave the villa, for we had all our meals catered for by the resident chef, Putu. This included a delicious (non spicy) chicken curry in local style.
All we had to do was to relax and enjoy the sun, swimming pool, food and attentive service provided by the crew, led by Eka. We also enjoyed many games at the pool table and a massage in the breezy massage room. We didn't have time for the video room nor the yoga room, but we relished the company of the lovely Nuna, the resident Dachshund.
We would like to especially thank Eki, Heni, Putu, Made and the rest of the team, not forgetting sweet Nuna, for making this week an exceptional and memorable one for our family.
This is beautiful villa to stay in. We went for a wedding and stayed for 3 nights. The staff are amazing and nothing is too much trouble. The villa is just beautiful & the honeymoon suite has is own infinity pool.
We spent one week of perfect holidays at Villa Hansa. Everything was top-notch, from the quality of the facilities to the excellent and attentive service provided by the staff managed by Ibu Putu. The cooking of the chief is so good that we had dinner almost every night at the Villa. The staff have been very helpful, always smiling and willing to take care of the kids. The amenities are really very good, with a huge garden, a big pool, a billard close to the river...Definitely a must in Bali.
In the very rare event of the airport being closed when you are due to arrive, we will endeavour to reschedule your villa booking to a mutually beneficial time
