Villa Alocasia is an elegant four bedroom villa that’s tucked away in the privacy of the Ayanna Complex which is surrounded by Canggu’s lush green rice paddies. A combination of chic design, architectural skill and environmental beauty make this one of the most sought-after properties in the area. The sapphire blue infinity pool, German-designed dual kitchens and private gym have been built to impress, then refined with gorgeous interiors that make this villa feel like the home you’ve always wanted.
The main living areas of the villa are downstairs and flooded with natural light. Glass doors can be opened to create an indoor-outdoor flow to the pool area. You’ll find sleek furnishings are matched with high-quality fittings that evoke a clean Japanese style. The indoor and fully air-conditioned lounge area can function as a high tech media room or a place to take in the peace and quiet as you look out over the garden.
The dual kitchens have been designed by a German Master Chef, with a hot kitchen tucked away to the right and a stainless steel and marble open kitchen space as part of the living area. You can eat at the breakfast bar or the solid wood dining table which is graced with stylish hanging lights and can seat up to eight people.
There’s a small gym to use on the top floor. Air conditioning will keep you fresh as you work out on the treadmill, the elliptical machine or rowing machine and distract yourself with a movie on the wall mounted cable TV.
Upstairs there are four lovely double bedrooms. The walls in each room are adorned with carefully selected pieces of art that set off the different colours. Statues and lamps decorate the hallways, and polished wooden floors are complemented by glass sliding doors to create an airy and simple flow throughout. The master room sits at the front of the villa and includes a stunning double ensuite with a deep tub for soaking away the evening with a glass of bubbles. The linens on the king-sized bed are gorgeous, and you’ll find plenty of wardrobe space to tuck those suitcases away and make this feel like home.
Rooms two, three and four are placed at the back of the villa next to the gym. Each has an excellent ensuite with a rainfall shower and is beautifully decorated in neutral tones. Each bedroom has either a king or queen sized bed and is furnished with contemporary furniture. The balcony stretches around the bedrooms in an L shape offering a view over the gardens and a haven of escape for up to eight people.
The outside areas of Villa Alocasia are dotted with wonderful spots to curl up and enjoy life in Bali. Surrounding the villa is a tropical garden full of beautiful flora and fauna. An enchanting stone statue of Ganesha sits out the front of the entranceway, it’s placed in the centre of a gorgeous water fountain and lily pond which trickles quietly as you approach the paved entrance way. The garden circles the villa and invites you to wander through the stone pathways to make peace amongst the bamboo and the frangipani. The pool welcomes you with its azure blue waters and has four sun loungers where you can soak up the rays. There’s a shady gazebo area that’s plump with comfortable cushions and ideal for a lazy afternoon with a book.
Just outside the villa’s walls sits a larger communal pavilion style area with a pool and a barbecue. This is the perfect place to have a small gathgering or just run around with the kids in the sunshine.
The staff of Villa Alocasia are friendly Balinese locals with separate quarters in the house. Each day the housekeepers will make the beds and clean up any dishes. There’s also the garden and pool maintenance team to keep the outside area ship shape. With a little bit of notice and an extra fee, we can organise an in-house chef to cook delicious meals in the dual kitchens and even someone to stock the fridges with fresh food and drinks of your choice. We can also organise a nanny or masseuse to visit. All of the staff members of Villa Alocacia are friendly and honest, they are directed by the villa manager who can help you with any further inquiries or assistance with organising transport.
The Padang Linjong area is one of the most well-preserved parts of Canggu, rice paddies stretch for miles, and the wind blows through, bringing a sense of serenity with it. Just down the road from the villa, you’ll find Samadi, a yoga shala and organic restaurant. There’s also Bali Buddha which stocks everything from gluten-free bakery goods to vitamins, minerals and organic vegetables. The vibe of this area is very ceremonial, and you may find yourself coming across golden arches woven with flowers, banana leaf offerings and locals dressed in white on their way to worship at the local temple. The streets also have lots of small vendors and warungs selling everything from fresh fish to sweet fruits and of course, world-class coffee. There is also an amazing restaurant scene with some of Bali’s best located within easy reach of the villa.
In the very rare event of the airport being closed when you are due to arrive, we will endeavour to reschedule your villa booking to a mutually beneficial time
